REGULARLY SCHEDULED EVENTS FOR KIDS
Every Wednesday from 10:00 to 10:30 am, “Lap Sit.”
This gives parents and small children a chance to play and talk with each other. The Library is closed at this time, so there is no need to be quiet as a mouse. Young children can become familiar with the Library in a less-structured environment, helping to develop a love for their library as well as books.
Every Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30, “Story Time.”
Hear a great story and participate in an art project. For children of all ages, this program brings them to the next level. Children are encouraged to listen to the story and participate in the project. We believe these skills will help children as they move into a school setting (public and home school). The Library is closed at this time, giving children the opportunity to learn library etiquette in a less-structured environment.
Field Trips to the Library.
Anyone wanting to bring a group to the library for a field trip is welcome. We can create memorable field trips for all ages and grade levels. Adult field trips can be arranged as well. For more information call Harney County Library at 541-573-6670.
If your school, class, or group can’t come to us we can come to you. Outreach programming can be arranged and scheduled as need.
