  • Go STEM - Dedicated to STEM learning with plenty of awesome materials for kids.
    • Lesson Plans - Science, tech, engineering, and math-related lesson plans for middle & high school students.
    • STEM-Mazing News - Daily news tidbits focused on exploring weird, interesting, and (sometimes) gross happenings. 
  • Khan Academy - free online math courses for all ages and abilities.
    • Daily Schedules for students aged 2 to 18.
    • SAT Prep
  • Prodigy - Explore math in an interactive world, for 1st through 8th graders.
  • An Hour of Code - Try a one-hour tutorial designed for all ages in over 45 languages.
  • Rocket Languages - (You need your library barcode to create an account.) Learn a language -- 14 languages including American Sign Language, ESL for Spanish and Japanese, as well as advanced English. There is also a free mobile app.
  • National Geographic Kids - (You need your library card number to log in.) - Fun, educational content for kids aged 6-14year olds the world in a way they've never seen it before. National Geographic Kids will take them on amazing adventures in science, nature, culture, archaeology, and space.
  • Mystery Science - Fantastic science lessons and experiments for kids in grade kindergarten to 5th. Content ranges from Weather Forecasting (What will the weather be like on your birthday?) to Mini-Lessons like 'How Does Hand Sanitizer Kill Germs?'.

  • Read, Wonder, and Learn! - Kids' author Kate Messner shares a growing collection of resources that include everything from first-chapter and picture book read-alouds (all shared with permission!) to drawing and writing mini-lessons.
  • Story Time From Space - Astronauts read children's books while in space(!).

  • Library2Go - (You need your library barcode to create an account.) Tons of eBooks and audio-books that you can read/listen to on your computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.
  • Abdo Digital Bookshelf - Features a great selection of digital books for kids of all ages.

  • Audible for Kids - Free stories to stream on your desktop, laptop, phone or tablet.

Activities

  • Discovery Education Puzzlemaker - Create and print customized word search, criss-cross, math puzzles, and more-using your own word lists.
  • Sesame Street Caring for Each Other - Provides content and resources you can use with your family to offer comfort and spark playful learning activities.
  • Guinness World Record Kids, Try This at Home - "Whether it's in your kitchen, bedroom or garden, there are hundreds of records that you can practice and attempt right in your home - by yourself or with a family member."
  • Lunch Doodles With Mo - Each short episode features kids' author Mo Willems in his studio, teaching kids how to draw characters, and talking about his personal artistic process. A new episode gets released every day, so your children won't ever run out of Mo-tastic content.
  • Home Safaris - The Cincinnati Zoo is hosting "Home Safaris" each day at noon on Facebook Live. Each day they'll highlight one of their resident animals—like Rico, the Brazilian porcupine—and they'll also include an activity that kids can do from home.
  • Virtually Explore Famous Museums/Galleries - Google Arts & Culture features DIY virtual tours of the MoMA, the Met, & tons of other neat spots.
  • America's Test Kitchen Kids - They have made their website completely free for kids to explore. Content includes a plentiful selection of recipes, projects, and cooking lessons.
  • Cosmic Kids Yoga - Yoga, mindfulness and relaxation designed specially for kids aged 3+, used in schools and homes all over the world.
  • Aiden Tyler, Quaran-teen - Listen in every Tuesday as Rex Ogle (author of Free Lunch) writes a brand-new story about our current situation and reads it aloud in real time as he writes it! (Aimed toward middle-grade students.)
  • Art in Place - Virtually visit the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art's brand-new exhibit that highlights the work from 21 different artists! Want to make it more educational? School Library Journal has a great list of how to make this exhibit more teachable. Find it here.
