Computers for public use are available. A library card or valid photo I.D. is required. Each user will get access for 45 minutes per day.
Oral History Room
The Oral History room can be reserved in advance for podcasting sessions, small (three or less people) meetings, Skype interviews, and more. To reserve you can either give us a call (541-573-6670) or stop into the library. *Currently not available due to COVID restrictions.
Harney County Library offers WiFi hotspots for checkout (18+, 3- week checkout). Please see the hotspot page for more information.
Public-use WiFi is also available onsite. Sign into network name "HarneyLib1".
The library has a state-of-the-art disc repair system. The cost is $3 per disc. Unfortunately, we cannot resurface Blu-Ray discs.
Harney County Library offers basic Notary Public services during open hours. We do not charge for notarization. Disclaimer: We are not allowed to draft legal records or give advice on legal matters. Free one-on-one computer tutoring every Thursday from 4-5 PM, no appointment necessary. Use the library's computers or bring your own laptop. Inquire at the front desk about scheduling an alternate time. *Currently not available due to COVID restrictions.
Additional computers are available in the Teen Room for student use and in the Western History Room for research use.

Our scanner also has the capability for scanning to PDF, which can be either transferred to a flash drive or emailed. This service is free.
